Click on the Apple icon located in the top left corner
Select System Settings…
Scroll down to Printers & Scanners
Click on Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax…
If the printer does not appear in the Name box then select the globe icon (at the top in the middle) and you can add the printer IP address. You might have to change the Protocol. The default is Internet Printing Protocol - IPP but I have had to use AirPrint and HP Jetdirect - Socket before. The HP Jetdirect is not just for HP printers.
After you have entered the information select Add in the bottom right hand corner.
